SPIKEHORN

“Spikehorn” Is a desert retreat center of over 40 acres designed and built by artist/builder Randy Polumbo in Joshua Tree, California. Named in honor of his great great uncle, John “Spikehorn” Meyer, Randy hopes Uncle Spikehorn would be proud of what he has built on his hill in the ruggedly beautiful high desert. Spikehorn was a colorful and brilliant character gifted in showmanship, “bear whispering,” and creating low brow architectural spaces as well as inventions. His sprawling rustic enclave was devoted to bear handling and appreciation, story telling, and other magical and enchanting pursuits.
